Updated 5/28/2020
We are happy to announce we are planning on opening for the 2020 season on Saturday, May 30th!
As we all know, we are in unprecedented times and many lives have been greatly affected. We cannot begin to describe how thankful we are for the support of our guests over the years. Many of you have become like family. We appreciate your understanding and support while we navigate the challenging circumstances the world is facing in the weeks and months ahead.
The health, safety and well-being of everyone is our top priority. We are taking extra precautions and adding procedures to make sure our staff and guests remain safe. While we would love to offer all of our usual services and amenities, we ask for your understanding with some changes we need to make.
Please note, as the regulations and impact of COVID-19 constantly evolves, we will continue to review our practices and make adjustments based on the latest guidelines and recommendations of the CDC, WHO as well as federal, state and local authorities.
Current changes due to COVID-19:
Protective Gear: Our staff will be provided with gloves and face masks. There will be additional hand sanitizing stations throughout the common areas.
Front Desk: We have installed Plexiglas barriers at our front desk and allow the layout to accommodate social distancing. We may need to restrict the number of check-ins allowed in the building at one time.
Curbside Check-in/out: If requested, we will attempt to accommodate a contactless check-in and check-out. When you arrive, you may call us and stay in your car. We can discuss your reservation, payment and deliver the keys to your car. This will be a work in progress as we figure out what works best.
Housekeeping Services: Prior to a guest’s check-in, we will be disinfecting and sanitizing all guest rooms. When possible, our housekeeping team will let each guest room sit for at least 24 hours between guests. During a guest’s stay we will not be allowing our housekeepers into your room for stay over service. We will assist with trash removal and provide fresh towels and sheets outside of each room as needed. We will be providing disposable cups in place of glassware in rooms.
Amenities: We have our locker rooms, exercise room, lounge/bar and fire pit open! These areas will be disinfected regularly and will accommodate 6 feet of social distancing. Our pool room (which includes the pool, steam room, sauna and whirlpool) is currently closed and we plan on reopening in July. We do not have a life guard on duty nor a staff member in the pool area to ensure social distancing or constantly disinfect surfaces. If you utilize the pool area, please be respectful of others but also enter at your own risk.
Complimentary Breakfast Buffet: The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture (Health Department) asks that all self-serve buffets cease operations until further notice. We will be offering a “grab and go” bagged breakfast. Seating can accommodate 6 feet of social distancing. We will be monitoring and offering our coffee service during breakfast hours. Coffee is also provided in the room. Please understand we know this is disappointing news but we must abide by these recommendations. This will be a work in progress as we also find what works best operationally. We will do our best to keep everyone happy and we thank you in advance for your understanding.
Social Distancing: We ask guests to respect CDC recommended social distancing guidelines and maintain a six feet distance when checking into the hotel and moving throughout our common areas.
Common Areas: We will increase cleaning frequency for common areas throughout the hotel including high touch areas such as tables, drinking fountain, pens, room keys, and door handles. There will be additional hand sanitizing stations throughout the common areas.
Staff Education: We will have ongoing training with staff on disinfectants and the common signs and symptoms of coronavirus infections. Any staff who shows signs of illness will be asked to stay at home and advised to follow CDC guidelines. Employees who have a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19 will not be allowed to work.
Guest Responsibility: We ask that guests stay home if they have any symptoms or have been in contact with someone who may have been infected. This is a group effort and we each must do our part. Thank you for your efforts!
As we learn more about this virus and new regulations, we will continue to review our practices and make adjustments based on the latest guidelines and recommendations. If you have any questions please message, call (608) 588-7828 or email us at springvalleyinn.info@gmail.com
We hope everyone stays healthy and we can see you all soon!
From our family to yours,
